Territories terrain overlay
« on: January 05, 2019, 06:36:38 PM »
Hello Kronnect team,

I have a problem with territories rendering over terrains. For some reason territories fail to layer over the terrain correctly ending up with inconsistent and ugly look.

Please have a look at the attachments for more details.

Cells seems to overlay grid as expected thus i wonder if it is something that I am doing incorrect?

Try latest beta which fixes an issue when roughness is set to 0.

Roughness controls the fitness of the grid to the terrain shape. Setting it to 0 produces the more accurate shape although it can still show some clipping on certain peaks or slopes - note that TGS tries to produce the least amount of vertices possible so some clipping may occur.

To remove the clipping artifacts there're some options in Grid Positioning section. Try increasing Elevation or reducing the Colored Depth Offset parameters until you get a satisfying result.
