Runtime model editor
« on: May 16, 2019, 09:53:27 PM »
I mainly use VoxelPlay to create voxel structures, like buildings. My workflow is to build them inside Qubicle and import them into Unity, which is a repetitive and painful process of importing/reimporting. I think it would be great if I could build the models directly into Unity and rapidly, similar to what assets like ProBuilder and UModeler do, but in a voxel style. I think it would be uniquely great if something like this could be done:

1 - Create an empty Voxel Play's game object.

2 - Select the object and press Ctrl + Shift + V, for example.

3 - Edit object in real time, using functions like extrusion, addition, subtraction...

4 - Now the created "object" is a full VP model and can be accessed normally through script.

5 - You can also choose to save the object as a normal GameObject with colliders and so on.

I would gladly pay for a feature like this one.

Thanks.

Editor or runtime voxel editor? Pros/cons? Will you want to include the voxel editor in your game?
