Strange occlusion with GlobeDemo

I have some objects I wanted to place on / in / under the surface of the globe and be occluded by the surface.  However they have some strange behaviour that I don't understand at the moment:

Hi!

In order to avoid z-fighting and clipping issues with colored regions, lines or other gameobjects on surface, the Globe asset only occludes back side of globe (this means that a cube placed behind the globe will be occluded by it but a cube placed on the center of the globe will still be visible).

If you want a visible object to be occluded by the globe like it was a regular sphere, use one of the two clipping shaders provided with your gameobject:

WorldPoliticalMap/UnlitGlobeClip
WorldPoliticalMap/SurfaceGlobeClip
